Summary

The People and Talent Specialist is responsible for using cutting-edge research techniques to seek out top-level talent to enrich our organization. This person will act as an ambassador for our organization and will be able to recognize exceptional individuals with strong leadership qualities. This position will play a critical role in developing employees and implementing strategies to ensure the organization is hiring and retaining the best possible talent for both current and future roles within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Partners with colleagues, leadership and hiring managers to facilitate full cycle recruiting efforts for all roles, including identifying skills and knowledge requirement, sourcing candidates, and facilitating the offer process.
  • Recruit applicants for open positions (internally and externally).
  • Analyzes employment metrics and trends to proactively respond to recruiting and retention needs in the organization and drive future decisions.
  • Research and participate at job fairs.
  • Assist on organizing, preparing, and implementing recruiting, retention, and training programs.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of recruiting and training strategies.
  • Network through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups, social media, and employees.
  • Improve the company website recruiting page to assist in recruiting.
  • Manage interview schedules, collect feedback in a timely manner, and facilitate hiring decisions including conducting de-briefing sessions, conducting preliminary reference checks, and coordinating offer letters by working with management and HR to develop an attractive offer package.
  • Coordinate, track and evaluate new employee ramp-up and training.
  • Other duties shall be assigned as required.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of recruitment experience.
  • Fluent in both English and French with proven skills in verbal and written communication is required.
  • Ability to translate and correspond in English/ French (written and verbal)
  • Post-secondary education with a focus on Human Resources is preferred.
  • Experienced in full-cycle recruitment in the province of Quebec is an asset.
  • Innovative thinker, able to use and develop new sources for recruitment.
  • Able to respond quickly in a dynamic and changing environment.
  • Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively with different managers, candidate personalities, etc.
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated, strong analytical skills and detail oriented.
  • Ability to work independently (remotely) as well as in a team setting.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Administrative support experience, preferably in an HR or Recruitment setting is an asset
