Javelin Technologies, Canada's leading provider of 3D Technology, is expanding our team and looking for a dedicated Data Management Application Consultant for our Professional Services Team in either our Kitchener, Ontario or Oakville, Ontario Offices.

Javelin is looking for an individual who is well spoken, a fast learner and has positive energy to join our company. As part of the Professional Services Team this role is responsible for providing SOLIDWORKS ENTERPRISE product support, implementation and consulting services, and product usage training to our customers.


  • Provide Javelin customers with comprehensive implementation, configuration, training and technical support for SOLIDWORKS Product Data Management (PDM) products
  • Understand customers' business needs, processes and workflows to aid with configuring SOLIDWORKS PDM workflows
  • Implement and deliver SOLIDWORKS PDM services
  • Train customers on SOLIDWORKS PDM
  • Identify opportunities for future expansion at the customer
  • Travel regularly to customer sites to provide onsite implementation services and training (occasional weekend and evening travel required)
  • Liaise with customers and in-house staff and partners regarding technical information as related to SOLIDWORKS PDM
  • Provide explicit instructions related to SOLIDWORKS PDM to external and internal customers
  • Troubleshoot issues with training equipment
  • Create engaging presentations using available software tools
  • Write technical articles, record screen capture video of software processes for publishing to the organizations technical blog and YouTube channel
  • Occasionally attend tradeshows and SOLIDWORKS User Group meetings


  • Minimum of a 3-year Engineering or IT Technology Diploma required, Bachelor of Engineering or IT Degree preferred
  • Minimum of 1 2 years of experience utilizing and administrating a file management system and/or database required.
  • Implementation and usage experience with SolidWorks PDM software (formerly SolidWorks Enterprise PDM) an asset
  • Certified Enterprise PDM Administrator (CEPA) an asset
  • Experience in project management, business processes and file management required.
  • Business Analyst background/experience an asset
  • Must have strong verbal, written and listening communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision is required
  • Excellent customer relations ability required
  • A credible and lively presenter with a professional demeanor is required.
  • Solid understanding of engineering processes and terminology, and solid modelling process and jargon is required
  • Excellent knowledge of mechanical CAD and the design industry is required
  • Experience in programming in Visual Studio .NET in Visual Basic and/or C++ an asset
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are required
  • Capable of corporate computer networking and troubleshooting preferred
  • Hands on experience in the set up and support of PC computers is required
  • Expertise with Microsoft Windows 7, 8, 10, Server 2008 R2 or later, SQL 2008 R2 or later is required
  • Familiarity with SQL/T-SQL scripts an asset
  • Solid proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote) required
  • Additional industry experience (Product design, tooling design, mold design, industrial design, electrical systems design) an asset
  • Must have a reliable means of transportation and a Valid Driver's license; travel will be required
  • Must be capable of briefly lifting up to 65 lbs. (mobile laptop cases consisting of 4 laptops and accessories)
  • Ability to travel to the United States of America required
