As of May 1, 2018, Javelin Technologies and Cimetrix Solutions, two veteran Canadian companies have come together to form the leading 3D design engineering and additive manufacturing solutions provider in Canada.

Cimetrix- Division of Javelin is seeking a highly motivated, Regional Sales Manager to drive revenue generation and customer management into an assigned territory of accounts. 


  • Listen, collaborate and understand the customers' engineering and manufacturing/assembly challenges in order to identify improvement opportunities, and then define, propose and deliver valuable technical solutions.
  • Maintain a highly active schedule of proactive and informative face-to-face interactions with existing and future clients.   Represent the company and present at industry events, trade shows, road shows, webinars and networking opportunities.
  • Establish a professional, working, and consultative, high value relationship with clients.
  • Clear understanding and ability to clearly articulate to prospects and clients our capabilities and value proposition, with professional and ethical representation from a world class company.
  • Develop, actively manage, and continually expand the pipeline of sales opportunities in order to increase Cimetrix's market share in advanced manufacturing solutions.
  • Balance strategic and tactical pursuits to optimize coverage and develop a predictable revenue stream.
  • Leverage internal support team members and Cimetrix Partners to seek out new opportunities.
  • Maintains market and competitor knowledge including industry trends to ensure credibility with customer and strategic partners.
  • Proactive, timely and productive use of CRM system.
  • Travel is required within the assigned region (Eastern Canada). 
  • Must be able to travel to the US on occasion.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Post-Secondary education or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills (English/French).
  • Excellent professional presentation and demonstration skills.
  • Knowledge of Additive Manufacturing/3D Printing technology preferred, not required.
  • Sales professional with 10 plus years in a relevant industry; with a proven track record of success.
  • 3-5 years' of consistently exceeding sales revenue and goal objectives 
  • Strong negotiation, interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Experience with various manufacturing processes, designing and implementation of jigs & fixtures as well as general manufacturing factory improvements.
  • Uses expertise in specialty, consultative solution selling and business development skills to align solutions (hardware, software, services) with the client's business needs.
  • Demonstrates leadership and initiative in successfully driving sales in accounts - prospecting, negotiating and closing campaigns.
  • Strategic business development planning; can build an effective business case reflecting the value of an appropriate strategy.
  • Uses C-level engagement skills in collaboration with account leads to offer value-add solutions to the client. 


Compensation is comprised of a base salary and commissions calculated as a percentage of the gross margin.
